Ben Vince (live)
Ben Vince released an album earlier this year that quickly became one of our favourites.
His most recent release on AD93 is a real testament to his sonic craftsmanship. A raw assemblage of saxophone, drum machines and synthesisers, his music dances between serenity and discordance. Looping, mutant club abstractions hold together freeform experimentations on the saxophone, drawing inspiration from minimalist jazz and dance music. The result feels ancient, but firmly future-facing.
Philip Sherburne put it well when he said that Ben Vince plays his saxophone like a man with one foot in another dimension. We are really excited about this one; he’s an artist making truly original music. Kicking things off at Moon on day 2, let them enchant you into rhythm of the day.
