Colombian Drone Mafia & Debit are opening up The Pit with an immersive meditation on Latin American sonic memory.

Colombian Drone Mafia (Nicolás Sánchez) is an alias of TraTraTrax founder Nyksan. A vessel for his more ambient-oriented productions, Sánchez crafts expansive soundscapes that invite deep listening and contemplation. The result is layered, loop-based drone and ambient music with neoclassical influences and a sonic palette that honours the urban and natural landscapes of Colombia. Joining him is Debit, an artist who recontextualises pre-Hispanic Mexican music in both beatless and club-focused productions. Her music presents a dialogue between indigenous heritage and contemporary sound design, a creative act of cultural preservation.
