Darwin B2B Mama Snake

Neither are strangers to our festival, but Darwin and Mama Snake are coming together for the first time on a stage they’ve never played before.

Darwin relishes in the healing power of low- end frequencies and high-impact percussion, crafting hypnotic odysseys through murky, alien sonic worlds. Her label SPE:C and party series REEF were instrumental in carving out spaces for the bass-heads in Berlin, and her new event ABYSS combines breathwork, deep listening, and sound system communion.

Mama Snake glides through trance and techno with serpentine precision, feeling mercurial and totalizing all at once. The Copenhagen-based artist, DJ and label head of Amniote Editions is a dear friend of the festival, we just can’t get enough of her. She’s a master of high speed, unrelenting energy on the dancefloor, moving between vulnerability and sheer force with an immaculate grace.

Their selections draw from disparate traditions of the dance music continuum, and we can’t wait to hear where they’ll meet each other. They’ve shown us time and time again that they’re serious players in our scene right now, and we couldn’t think of a better pair to bring us into nightfall on day 1.
