Hyperverbena (hybrid)

Verraco and Lechuga Zafiro join forces for 1 hour of visceral experimentation. Hyperverbena shows are few and far between, so we feel incredibly lucky to be hosting them at peak time on Friday night.

Pitched as a hybrid concert, Hyperverbena acoustically dissects the slur ‘sudaca’. A derogatory term used to discriminate against South American immigrants, the duo embrace aspects of Latin American culture that the West has traditionally demeaned: sensuality, a lack of discipline, and raw, unfiltered language. Using CDJs, FX and live drumming, they unleash a storm of breakcore, bassweight mutations, cumbia-techno hybrids and frenetic Latin percussion.

Pushing every component to its extreme, this is club culture at its most unruly.
