South London’s Mia Koden’s DJ sets are soundtracked by the African continent and beyond. Her formative years were spent in soundsystem culture, listening to everything from roots to drum ‘n bass. She’s also a prolific producer, and we’ll hear fresh injections of 2-step, electro and hip-hop into the British bass sounds she brings to our forest.
MJK’s DJ roots are in grime, but he has recently developed a knack for dark and percussive techno sounds. Currently running a Rinse FM residency, he mixes dubstep and house like no other. Technical yet highly danceable.
This isn’t the first time Mia Koden and MJK have teamed up. We’re sure their set will include a lot of skanking, making this stage even deeper than it already is.
