Slippery, tactile and unrestrained. Broken rhythms, upfront textures, drenched in bass. Putting these two together was an intuitive choice for us, but this will be the first time they play together.
CCL is no stranger to Draaimolen. Having graced Holy Pink and our Forest Rave over the last couple of years, we’ve fallen in love with their playful, expansive approach to selection. Moving from mutant techno to shoegaze in a heartbeat, you never quite know where they’ll take you but it never ceases to make sense. Drawing from their time in Bristol, Seattle, the American Midwest, and now Berlin, their affinity for the strange and the liminal has captivated a broad spectrum of chinstrokers and groove chasers alike.
Yushhh wants to challenge people. The Bristol-based DJ and producer possesses a sharp instinct for off-beat, elaborate sound design. Lush ambience pairs with off-kilter, leftfield percussion in tracks that synthesise the organic and mechanic. Nurtured by the scene in Bristol that fosters experimentation, Yushh’s sound embodies a free-spirited, yet finely cut approach to sonic worldbuilding.
Together they play at Aura, the perfect canvas for their restless creativity.
