Moritz von Oswald, Tikiman & Azu Tiwaline are building a whole new world for us at Draaimolen this year.
One of our commissioned live shows this year, this is a seismic meeting of true innovators. Dub techno hero Moritz von Oswald and Dominican reggae vocalist Tikiman have collaborated in the past, most notably for releases on the seminal Rhythm & Sound imprint. For the first time, they will be joined by Azu Tiwaline, an artist who blends dub techno aesthetics with Saharan trance percussion.
Tikiman’s soul-soaked voice brings a spiritual presence to von Oswald’s deep, minimalist soundscapes. When combined with the Azu’s brooding, polyrhythmic meditations on the space and silence of the desert, an ancestral, yet timeless world awaits.
With a brand new live show fine-tuned for our forest, this performance will be a séance of primal rhythms, reverberating delays, and deep vibration.
