It was back in the 1990s that this sound system operator and dub producer began creating his signature sound, adding reverb, delays and other effects to original reggae tracks to create a sound that’s unmistakably his own. He continued to master his skills, deeply rooted in the sound system culture where his passion and career flourished.
Growing up in the vibrant streets of London, he has always been immersed in the essence of reggae and dub culture, honing his craft and drawing inspiration from genre legends Dennis Brown, Yabby You and Bob Marley. Aba Shanti-I channels their spirit into his music, infusing every track with a soul-stirring authenticity. He’s ready to inject FOLD with a dose of slow and deep vibes, breaking with the club’s typically strong techno approach.
