Legowelt = Zorlok Compressor (live AV)
Zorlok Compressor, Legowelt, Franz Falckenhaus, Seaside Houz Boyz; we’ll jump on the barricades to put him in the pantheon of the Dutch arts, no matter which moniker applies. Danny Wolfers is one of the Dutch greats.
The Draaimolen Festival 2026 opening concerts are wrapped up with a bonkers finale. What began as the last, ludicrous stretch to many a Legowelt live set, was developed into a whole different beast late 2025 with the release of Zorlok Compressor I. This project represents Wolfers’s descent into jungle, breakcore, dubstep and hardcore electro. Although he heavily mutates his more orderly output, two things remain instantly recognisable: his penchant for acid in many shapes and forms, and his mastery of drum machines as if they were machinic limbs to the organic body. The entire hail mary into delightful lawlessness becomes a comprehensive world thanks to a special AV setup. Wolfers’ beautiful, unsettling drawings burn the madness into your retinas.
One of our country’s true mavericks will be firing on all cylinders. Don’t you dare miss it.
