Earlier this year, Willem released his highly acclaimed second solo album, Spuug van God, setting a new standard with his captivating live shows. Willem will launch the Draaimolen festival weekend with a live performance at 013 Poppodium Tilburg on Thursday, September 5. All attendees of the Opening Concert will receive a limited edition 7-inch vinyl featuring three exclusive tracks not available in the digital version of the album. This special vinyl will also include an Ineffekt remix of the album’s lead single, “In Mijn Ritme.”
On Friday, September 6, Willem and Ineffekt will join forces for an extraordinary one-off performance on our STR/OBE stage. Ineffekt has already helped produce some of the original tracks on the album, and the influence of electronic music on ‘Spuug van God’ is undeniable. Take the raving synths and rhythms on songs like ‘In Mijn Ritme’ and ‘Geen Love Song’, for example. One of the biggest themes of the project is the search for identity, which is reflected in the translation of this hip-hop album into a reinterpretation full of mash-ups, remixes, and other surprises.
