Timedance label head Batu is taking over Aura for the weekend, and he’ll be finishing the day off with his signature blend of primordial rhythms and future-focused sounds. Following in the footsteps of artists close to his heart and taste is an honour for the co-curator himself.
Since his debut production in 2013, Batu has been committed to pushing the sound of UK bass and techno into exciting, unfamiliar territory, and nurturing the talent behind it. A true alchemist of sound, he draws from a colourful palette of genres to craft intricate, deeply immersive listening experiences. From his first appearance at Draaimolen Island, through his performance with Herrensauna at ADE and our takeover of FOLD in London, to his incredible secret back-to-back set with Donato Dozzy in 2023, he has displayed an unbridled commitment to fresh, uncompromising music.
