Loco Dice and Vladimir Ivkovic take us back to the roots of minimal music.
Born and raised in Belgrade, Ivkovic is a prolific digger who finds rare grooves, left-field oddities and forgotten gems. His sets possess a uniquely psychedelic quality. Formerly a hip-hop DJ, Tunisian-German Loco Dice creates punchy and intricate journeys through hip-hop, tech house, and techno, guided by groove and feeling.
The two have collaborated before: Loco Dice founded the label Desolat, and Vladimir Ivkovic was their label manager. For this set, we asked them to revisit their shared history, which laid the foundations for minimal as a genre. Their releases shaped a sound defined by subtle progressions, warm, techy grooves and a punchy low-end presence.
This is a really special booking for the heads, where each track is given space to breathe. Negative space is charged with meaning, and there’s plenty of room for your imagination to run wild.
