This first-time collaboration between Rozaly and Mula B, one of our commissioned shows this year, will be an energising celebration of music from the Netherlands and the Caribbean.
Hailing from Curaçao, Rozaly brings the lively rhythms of the Caribbean to Europe. His sets fuse lesser-known genres such as Bouyon, Zess and Rabòday, combining them with elements of rap, drill and experimental club.
Joining him as vocalist is Mula B, one of the most crucial voices in Dutch hip-hop. Having grown up in the tougher areas of The Hague, his music offers an honest portrayal of struggle. With sharp wordplay and incorporation of slang he provides stark, emotionally resonant depictions of street life in the Netherlands.
It’s always a pleasure to bring homegrown sounds to the forest, and this performance will set the tone for the rest of the day. We can’t wait for this one!
