Whether you’re here to help with setup and breakdown, assist as bar staff, or manage entrance operations, your contribution is invaluable. This is your chance to gain behind-the-scenes experience, meet amazing people, and be part of something special.
Before applying, please read this agreement carefully to understand the roles, responsibilities, and benefits associated with each position.
House rules
All staff and volunteers must adhere to the festival’s official House Rules while on site. Please review them before proceeding with your application.
Volunteer & staff roles
1. Production Volunteering (Before & After Festival)
This role involves assisting with the buildup and breakdown of the festival. Tasks include:
- Site preparation and clearing
- Stage construction
- Tent and infrastructure setup
- Other essential operational duties
Work Schedule:
- Buildup: August 18th β September 6th (8 AM β 8 PM)
- Breakdown: September 8th β September 14th (8 AM β 8 PM)
Compensation
Long-Term Volunteering (Full Buildup & Breakdown Period)
- Weekend TicketΒ
- Accommodation if neededΒ
- Daily communal mealsΒ
- Becoming part of the Draaimolen familyΒ
Short-Term Volunteering (2 to 10 days)
- 2 days β 1-day ticketΒ
- 4 days β Weekend ticketΒ
- Meals providedΒ
- Engage with the community & gain festival experience
- Extra days wonβt earn additional tickets but guarantee more fun!
π Minimum of 3 buildup days and 1 breakdown day required for weekend ticket eligibility.
2. Bar Staff (Paid & Volunteering)
Bar staff will help keep the festival energy high by serving drinks at one of our many bars.
Work Schedule:
- September 5th β September 6th
- Shifts start between 11 AM and 4 PM and end no later than 2 AM
- Shift length: 10β15 hours
Compensation
Bar Volunteering (Friday, September 5th)
- 1 Saturday ticket + 10 tokens + a Draaimolen crew T-shirt
- Lunch and/or dinner depending on shift timeΒ
- Community experience & behind-the-scenes accessΒ
Bar Paid Staff (Saturday, September 6th)
- Hourly wage: β¬14.06
- Lunch and/or dinner providedΒ
- Work with a dynamic and fun team
3. Entrance Staff (Volunteering)
Entrance staff plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth festival experience. Tasks include:
- Scanning ticketsΒ
- Assisting with wristbandsΒ
- Regulating crowd flow
Work Schedule:
- Festival Days: September 5th β September 6th
- Shifts start between 11 AM and go until 5 PM or 7 PM
Compensation
- Entry to the festival after your shift
- Lunch
- Becoming part of the Draaimolen communityΒ
Selection process
Applying does not guarantee placement. We receive many applications, and selection is based on:

Cancellations
- Long-term volunteers: Notify 3 weeks in advance
- Short-term volunteers: Notify 48 hours in advance
