When we had to cancel her set at the last minute last year, it felt incomplete. We are therefore very grateful that Arushi Jain will finally be taking the stage with us this year.
Originally trained in Hindustani classical music and now working with modular synthesis and ambient electronics, Arushi’s sound brings together the past and the future. Her recent album Delight draws inspiration from the raga Bageshri, a form rooted in longing and romantic reunion, and reimagines it through the lens of texture, modularity, and movement.
This will be her first modular live set in the Netherlands. Expect a subtle yet driving, meditative yet motion-filled set. It will be a performance that opens up slowly until you’re completely immersed in it.
