Thank you for joining our Open Call!
For more than ten years, we have created magic with you in the forest of Tilburg. Draaimolen Festival is an independent not-for-profit organisation; we have built it up from the ground together with many talents and renowned artists. Every year, we are on the lookout for new talent and creative potential that will grow with us.
With this open call, we would like to extend the invitation to those artists who are, just like us, “Rooted in music, art, and independence.” Our aim is to find DJs, musicians, and other creative talents who have yet to find their way behind the scenes, in the world of managers, bookers, and agents. With the open call, we strive to create an opening for those unsigned artists in this otherwise closed and hidden ecosystem.
Every year, one or more artists who submitted their work through the open call have performed at the festival. Some even multiple times and some of them have found an agent through our network. Even if you are not selected to play at Draaimolen Festival ’26, submitting an entry can be valuable: your entry will be reviewed and put in the spotlight of our whole team of dedicated industry professionals.
With the entries of the open call, we will build up a database and share it with befriended organisations on request. To streamline the process and manage the many hundreds of applicants, we have created the form here below. Please note that submissions are possible until April 30, 2026.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Love,
Team Draaimolen
PS. If you are an agent, submitting the work of your artist(s), please note that we don’t include you in the database but we’ll forward the information to our programmers. We will reach out to you for potential follow-ups.
For any questions regarding the open call, please e-mail to music@draaimolen.nu.

Earlier commissioned projects at Draaimolen Festival
Do I have to re-apply if I’ve already submitted my project last year?
Yes. Projects evolve and new information emerges. To keep the database current and relevant, we ask all artists to submit again via the open call.
All fitting submissions from last year have received a response but are not yet included in this database.
When does the open call close?
The open call closes on April 30. If your project is included in the database, you’ll receive an email before May 15.
What if I haven’t heard back after applying?
Following last year’s application process, we now know that we receive an immense amount of open application in our mailbox. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot reply to all incoming e-mails. We do however invest time in going through all applications, and will give every applicant the attention they deserve.Due to the volume of applications we receive, we’re unfortunately not able to respond to everyone individually. Please know that every submission is carefully reviewed and given our full attention, even if you don’t hear back from us directly.
