Nidia, an Afro-Portuguese producer, draws from a broad palette of Afro-diasporic rhythms to craft ferocious, in-your-face club cuts. Valentina Magaletti, a Draaimolen favourite, is a master of percussion, whose approach to drumming is characterised by a rich textural flair and affinity for improvisation. Combining this, Nidia’s synths dance between Magaletti’s polyrhythms, resulting in a living, breathing work of art.
We’re thrilled to welcome them into our forest, where they will be performing their album live for us. The thought of hearing their work on a very special soundsystem already gives us goosebumps. This one is not to be skipped.
